The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) Program was established in 1983 by The White House and is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The award recognizes outstanding teachers in mathematics, science, engineering, and technology (STEM, including computer science) from across the Nation at the Kindergarten through 6th grade and 7th through 12th grade levels.
