New guidance is available on the Standards-based Educator Evaluation and Professional Support (“STEPS”) plans

- վNYS-STEPS (Education Law §3012-e)to find new guidance.
- The deadline to submit a STEPS plan or to make a material change to a currently approved Educator Evaluation plan for the 2024-25 school year is March 1, 2025.
- As a reminder, school districts and BOCES have until June 30, 2032, to transition to a STEPS plan.
- If your Local Educational Agency would like to make a material change to a currently approved plan or discuss a STEPS plan transition, please email: educatoreval@nysed.gov.
